Checklist for job alternation leave
- Job alternation leave means that you take a break from your job for a maximum of six months, and during this time, your employer hires an unemployed person to fill your position. You will not receive your salary during the job alternation leave but will receive a job alternation compensation. The amount of this compensation is 70% of the unemployment benefit you would be entitled to if you were unemployed.
- The job alternation leave system will be abolished on August 1, 2024.
- Job alternation leave can start no later than July 31, 2024. This means that the alternation agreement must be submitted to the TE-office, and the employment contract for the job alternation substitute must commence no later than July 31, 2024.
